Visit Victoria Falls and the Luangwa Valley in Zambia
Commonly regarded as one of the most beautiful, and unspoilt countries on the African continent, Zambia has become a hotspot in recent years, and it is undoubtedly one of Africa’s most exciting safari regions.
Some of the highlights in Zambia include:
Victoria Falls
The mighty Victoria Falls are located in south Zambia, and are a shared marvel with Zimbabwe. Dr. David Livingstone is said to have discovered the falls and named them in Queen Victoria’s honor. Known locally as “Mosi-oa-Tunya,” meaning the smoke that thunders, the falls are over a mile in length, and the waters tumble 354 ft into the Zambezi River gorge below. For the more adventurous visitor, bungee jumping and white water rafting is a must.
Luangwa Valley
South Luangwa National Park has superb wildlife. There are a number of small, reputable lodges that offer extraordinary safari experiences, which are off the beaten track, making it a safari enthusiasts dream!
North Luangwa National Park is far less visited than South Luangwa. Walking safaris tend to be the main focus here, which would appeal to experienced visitors seeking a more active safari.
Nothing but breathing the air of Africa, and actually walking through it, can communicate the indescribable sensations.

Kafue National Park
Kafue National Park is conveniently located close to the town of Livingstone and Victoria Falls. Kafue is a birders haven with over 400 species occurring here, as well as large populations of large mammals, including all the big cats you could wish to see. Exciting spot-lit night safaris and walking safaris are on offer at some of the camps.
