Enjoy the Pearl of Africa on a Uganda Safari
Uganda was once referred to as “the Pearl of Africa” by Winston Churchill, and is home to the source of the White Nile. Uganda has an abundance of wildlife to offer, and hosts more than half of the bird species that occur in Africa. Uganda borders Kenya, another safari hotspot.
Uganda has many opportunities for travel and some of the highlights include:
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Uganda’s destination for Mountain Gorilla trekking. The forest has 116 habituated animals and a total population of 340. These make up one of the 11 primate species occurring here. Bwindi is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Queen Elizabeth National Park
This national park has an incredible diversity of habitats – savanna grassland, forest grassland, acacia woodland, swamps, and lakeshores. Chimpanzees and tree climbing lions are among the wildlife population that call Queen Elizabeth National Park home.
Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.
