South African Safari Vacations
South Africa has it all when it comes to world-class safari destinations. It also boasts internationally acclaimed vineyards and restaurants found in first-world cities. It is a popular and fun travel destination that includes incredible wildlife safaris and walks through South African history, including locations like Cape Town.
Cape Town
Cape Town has a lot to offer with well-known sites, such as Table Mountain, Robben Island, and Cape Point. Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain and stands as a landmark overlooking the city. Robben Island is the island prison where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for 28 years.
The Cape Winelands are on the city’s doorstep, along with beautiful restaurants, featuring delectable menus and magnificent scenery. Seasonal land or boat-based whale watching and shark cage diving are exciting activities to consider between the months of July and November.
I never knew of a morning in Africa when I woke up that I was not happy.
– Ernest Hemingway
Kruger National Park
Kruger is another of Africa’s largest protected areas. A wide variety of mammals make the mixed woodland savanna landscape home, as do a diverse number of bird species. We prefer to use operators who operate on private concessions within Kruger National Park. This offers a more secluded safari experience than one would encounter in the more well-traversed areas.
Sabi-Sands Wildtuin
The Sabi-Sands Wildtuin (game reserve in Afrikaans) is made up of a mosaic of privately-owned land that lies adjacent to the Kruger National Park in the central southwest. The area has arguably some of the best leopard viewings on the continent. There are a variety of lodge offerings available that range from extreme luxury to accommodations that are slightly more affordable.
